I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Drugs and related issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. A 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug as part of an operation in Louth.
Officers carried out a planned disruption warrant at a property on Queen Street Mews on the morning of Monday 22 June where a quantity of drugs (yet to be classified) and cash were seized. During a search of the premises a moped was also identified as having been stolen from out of the county. The man and woman were both subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
Both have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Louth’s Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant Kelly Palmer, the officer who led this operation, said: “This was a Neighbourhood Policing Team, CID and Intelligence-led operation aimed at disrupting suspected criminal activity that has a direct impact on our community. Action like this is a key part of our ongoing commitment to tackling the supply of illegal substances and its associated anti-social behaviour. We remain determined to keep people safe and protect the communities of Lincolnshire.”
